When a fellow first grade girlscout invited me to audition for the local Youtheatre with her, I found myself playing the clockwork mouse in The Velveteen Rabbit…and a star was born! What really happened was that I was lucky enough to grow up in Erie, PA with one of the best community theatres in the nation, learning from an early age that a life in the theatre was my true passion. The rest is history! (…and on my resume, so you can read it there.) I received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with honors from NYU Tisch, and have been a working actor around the country ever since.
I believe that theatre has the power to summon the gods, to rock a person’s emotional core, to create change and awaken the imagination. I also believe that the freedom of possibilities and the magic found in theatre should be introduced to all children at a young age, so they can be as lucky as I was.
